The job
Dead Swanky is a full-service salon in downtown Fayetteville, just off the square, open since 2005. The promo walks through a visit the way a client has it — the consultation, the wash, the cut or color, the blowout — and ends on how to book.
I shot it at the salon, edited it to the voice-over, and made the opening word titles and an end card drawn from the salon's backlit sign.
In October I designed and built their new website, laid out like one issue of a magazine: the stylists, the services from their booking menu, a page for their Kérastase line, and a link to book on every screen. The homepage cover plays footage from the promo.
The stylist portraits and bios, the lookbook photos and most of the words on the website are the salon's own, plus one licensed stock photo. The design, the build and the film are mine.
Promo film
1:01, for the web and social. It opens with the owner on camera and ends on the salon's sign and booking details.

Website
Home, stylists, Kérastase and cancellation-policy pages, designed like one issue of a magazine.
- Every stylist with a portrait, specialties and years in the chair.
- Seven services written from the salon's own booking menu, each with its own link to book.
- A Book Now link to the salon's Vagaro booking page on every screen.
- A cover film cut from the promo, with a pause button and a vertical cut for phones.
- A page of its own for their Kérastase line.
